This spring, we spotlight the decades-long association between screen legend Catherine Deneuve and a giant of French auteur cinema, the writer-director André Téchiné. Téchiné and Deneuve would make seven features together, five of which will be screened in this series: Scene of the Crime, My Favorite Season, Thieves, The Girl on the Train and In the Name of My Daughter.

Exploring relationships with her husband, French politician Aimé Césaire, and fellow surrealist André Breton, the film blends traditional biographical storytelling with captivating experimental elements.

As seen at the 2024 Annecy and Cannes Film Festivals, this beautifully animated family film by French auteur Jean-François Laguionie tells the story of an adopted boy and his stepfather in the 1950s, who bond over a shared interest in history and boating.
