French Camps at
L’Alliance New York
L’Alliance offers year-round language immersion drop-off camps at their Manhattan, NY and Montclair, NJ locations. These engaging, educational half and full day experiences are open to all levels of French speakers, catering to toddlers ages three to five, kids ages six to 11, and teens ages 12-18. Multiple week and sibling discounts are offered for certain sessions.
L’Alliance’s day camps run during select holidays, midwinter recess, and spring break, so toddlers ages three to five and kids ages five to eight can learn French and meet new friends while away from school. There’s flexibility to sign kids up for complete weeks or single days, depending on their needs.
Camps run for half days (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) or full days (9:00 am to 4:00 pm) and include activities like cooking, crafts, reading, and writing in French—plus, full day campers enjoy daily post-lunch trips to Central Park. The 2024 to 2025 season will include:
- Indigenous People Day/Columbus Day: October 14, 2024
- Presidents’ Week: February 17–February 21, 2025
- Spring Break: March 31–April 4, 2025
L’Alliance’s summer camps are themed experiences that encourage toddlers ages three to five, and kids ages five to 11 to collaborate, learn, and—most importantly—have fun. The various drop-off camps run from one week to multiple weeks, both half days (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) and full days (9:00 am to 4:00 pm), with an option for extended programs from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
Every year, L’Alliance summer camps have a fun new theme. Previous themes have included the Tour de France and The Nine Arts, with this year’s theme focusing on the Summer Games in Paris. This year, each week of camp will take a deep dive into past cities that have hosted the Games, explorations of geography, sports, and athletes, French vocabulary lessons related to the various cultures, and much more. Full day children’s camps will also visit Central Park daily.
L’Alliance also offers Cultural Discovery Clubs every summer for teens ages 12 to 18 , which consist of interactive workshops and visits around the city that allow your teens to step out of the classroom and use their language skills in real-world situations! Each week typically focuses on a different theme, with workshops and outings aligned with that week’s theme. Outings include multiple visits to museums, cooking classes, cheese tastings, and more. Everyone will find a unique way to discover or improve their proficiency in French, and more importantly, have fun in French at L’Alliance.
