L’Alliance New York Style Guide
Our full name, L’Alliance New York, is to be used in the first iteration of a mention. For example:
- The event will happen at L’Alliance New York at 22 E. 60th St. New York, NY 10022.
The shortened version is L’Alliance, which can optionally be used in the second iteration of a mention. For example:
- The event will happen at L’Alliance New York on 22 E. 60th St. New York, NY 10022. The afterparty will be at L’Alliance’s 8th floor Skyroom.
In official communication, never refer to L’Alliance New York as “L’Alliance NY”. In social media posts, however, you CAN refer to L’Alliance New York as “L’Alliance NY” if necessary.
There is no ‘The’ before L’Alliance since the literal English translation of “L’Alliance New York” is “The Alliance New York.” Usage examples:
- YES: The Preschool at L’Alliance New York
- YES: L’Alliance New York’s Preschool
- NO: The L’Alliance New York Preschool
